Yes, I want to help, with a gift that never ends...
Since parts of the IFLA's overhead expenses are covered by occasional grants, 98% of your contribution goes for loans to the people we help.

But more than that: Your gift to the IFLA is a gift in perpetuity. Because all loan repayments are immediately loaned out again to help others, your contribution continues to circulate through the years ahead. A gift, for example, of $10,000 recycled in the course of 10 years provides 100 loans of $1,000 each - resulting in a "helping value" of $100,000!
In view of our waiting list of loan applicants, we urgently need new contributions. Your gift to the IFLA may be earmarked for any of our existing loan categories, or for general loans. General contributions enable us to respond to urgent needs which do not currently fit into existing categories.
Because of our excellent record of reliability and accountability in administering funds, hundreds of donors have chosen to use the IFLA for direct donations and for operating their charitable loan programs in Israel.
All our transactions regarding loans and repayments are fully automated, allowing us to provide contributors with reliable and up-to-date records at any time. Donations are tax-exempt in Israel and overseas to the maximum allowed by law.
If you want to help Israel in a way that's better than charity, we urge you to consider giving loans through the IFLA.
Remember the IFLA in your will
Please consider mentioning the IFLA and include a bequest in your will or living trust. Bequests are tax-deductible in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Israel. Your legacy to the IFLA allows us to continue and expand our loan programs. Your good deeds and memory will continue to live in perpetuity.
Named Loan Funds
Major donors receive an annual report of loans made from their loan fund at the IFLA which tells how many loans were made, how much money remains to be repaid, and the amount available for new loans. Donors often dedicate a loan fund in the name of a loved one or friends, on the name of their foundation, or establish a memorial fund.
These perpetual funds are an excellent way to remember and be remembered, and many people have chosen to open an interest free loan account in their own name at the IFLA. Others created a fund through their Will. Named loan funds have been created to honor the birthday of close friends, a special anniversary, a wedding or bar/bat mitzvah. We currently have 170 named loan funds. This is a very important, Jewish way to help people share a simcha with those less fortunate and it allows the IFLA to meet the mounting requests and waiting list for loans. Named loan funds usually require a grant of $5,000, but the threshold for major donors is between $18,000 to $36,000 and more. We have several funds created with million dollar gifts.
Personalized loan application cards are printed for named Funds with wording that the donor wants us to print at the top of the card. We are especially seeking funding for general loans for anyone in need in addition to designated "categories" of need.
Designated GiftsAll gifts to the IFLA are welcome and acknowledged. Those who wish to earmark a gift may choose from the following list:
